    This collaborative spirit, as Lee highlights, fosters “a huge scale conference in a short amount of time”, emphasizing the power of a united community.

    Malaysia: The Unexpected Solana Powerhouse

    Prepare to be surprised! While the United States and Europe often dominate the Web3 conversation, Malaysia is quietly emerging as a Solana powerhouse.

    “Malaysia is a very strong place for Web3 that a lot of people don’t know about, and especially a special place for Solana.”

    This summit aims to break down geographical barriers and showcase the thriving Southeast Asian Web3 scene, often overlooked by the industry.

    “We wanted to do it in Malaysia to showcase this often-ignored Southeast Asian hub for top-tier Web3 founders and startups.”

    Superteam Malaysia: Bringing Solana to the Region

    The Solana Summit APAC 2024 is organized by Superteam Malaysia, a group that fosters innovation within the Solana ecosystem by acting as Solana ecosystem builders.

    “There are only 12 countries in the whole world that have a Superteam. To be a Superteam country and warrant a Solana presence, the country needs to have a strategic reason, and Malaysia is one of the 12 at the moment.”

    He further explains a key reason for choosing Malaysia to host the inaugural Solana Summit APAC: its thriving Solana ecosystem.

    “While there aren’t many Superteams globally, Malaysia boasts a strong Solana and Web3 presence, making it a great fit to host the event.”

    Interestingly, buzz around Solana Summit APAC 2024 isn’t just about the main event! There’s a whole world of side events to dive into.
