Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Dives Into The NFT Market With Unique Digital Collectibles
Warner Bros. Discovery Sports’ events division recently unveiled its collaboration with NextHash, marking the launch of its inaugural non-fungible token (NFT) collections for the sports they promote. These unique digital assets will enable fans to create personalised collections and celebrate their favourite sports.
In 2022, the events division commenced its venture into the metaverse, and is now advancing its mission to incorporate Web3 technology across its owned and promoted series.
As a result of a five-year partnership with NextHash, a cutting-edge blockchain platform and financial services provider, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports aims to broaden its digital footprint while tapping into the expanding global crypto landscape.
It will introduce a utility token portfolio, featuring exclusive digital collectibles associated with its renowned sports disciplines. Some of these digital assets have been designed by international artists. Throughout the year, NFT collections will coincide with various events organised and promoted by Warner Bros. Discovery Sports.
These NFT collections will be accessible through established NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea. Further details, including drop dates and concepts, will be disclosed soon.
