In 2021, Bart Simpson made his debut on the blockchain.
The official NFTs from The Simpsons were launched in collaboration with Disney and digital marketplace VeVe back in 2021.
The first NFT captures a classic moment with Homer and Bart in their iconic strangling pose, with 12,333 editions, while the second NFT features Bart’s skull and crossbones skateboard, limited to 6,333 editions, making it a rare find for collectors.
While these are the first official Simpsons NFTs, characters from the animated show have previously appeared in NFT form, with the most notable being the Homer Pepe NFT, sold in March 2021 for 205 ETH (about $320,000 at that time).
The NFT featured Homer Simpson as a Rare Pepe card.
