Thailand’s Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced a strategic partnership with Freedomverse, a Web3 builder, to launch the Freedom World mobile application.

This app aims to enhance travelers’ experiences in Thailand,particularly focusing on Koh Samui and its neighboring islands during the Green Season (July to October 2024).

The app leverages Web3 technology to foster a community-driven experience for both domestic and international travelers. It offers features like:

• Push notifications for updates on events and promotions

• Interactive maps

• Gamified activities and missions with rewards

• Chat functionalities to connect with fellow travelers

Local businesses can also join the platform to offer curated experiences and engage with the community.

This partnership aligns with TAT’s goals of revitalizing Thailand’s tourism industry through sustainable practices and leveraging digital technology.

The Discover Thailand campaign aims to include over 50 local businesses initially and expand to other provinces in the future.

“This partnership with the Freedom World application aligns with these goals and provides a digital platform that enhances travel experiences for the new generation of travelers,” said Somradee Chitchong, Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing at TAT.
