Pudgy Penguins Makes a Splash in Target Stores Nationwide
Pudgy Penguins, the company behind the globally recognized penguin characters, announced that their line of Pudgy Toys and Lil Pudgys are now available in the collectibles aisle at Target stores nationwide.
This marks Pudgy Penguins’ second major U.S. retail partnership and signifies the continued success of their innovative strategy.
Pudgy Toys, inspired by the popular Pudgy Penguins NFT collection, are plushies, figurines, and collectibles that bring the digital characters into the physical world.
Launched in May 2023, Pudgy Toys quickly became a top seller on Amazon and won Toy Insider’s Top Summer Toy award.
After debuting in Walmart locations in September 2023, this Target expansion further strengthens Pudgy Toys’ retail presence and bridges the gap between digital assets and traditional retail.

Each Pudgy Toy comes with a QR code that unlocks features and collectibles within Pudgy World, an online game powered by zkSync.

Pudgy Penguin NFT holders continue to benefit from the company’s recently launched licensing platform, OverpassIP.
Licensing for Chapter 2 of Pudgy Toys is now live and made possible by the beta launch of @OverpassIP, our IP licensing platform.

Holders can submit their NFTs for consideration in future Pudgy Toy launches and other initiatives, ensuring they receive royalty payments from licensed products.
Target stores will now carry six different Pudgy Toys clip-on plushies, manufactured by PMI Kids’ World.
