    Minima, a fully decentralized L1 blockchain for DePIN projects, is collaborating with data platform Influx Technology to integrate a blockchain-powered data tracker into a McLaren GT4 supercar ahead of the prestigious Spa-Francorchamps race in June.

    This innovative ‘DePIN Data Logger’ secures engine data directly onto Minima’s blockchain, ensuring immutable data provenance.

    The integration promises to revolutionize data capture and analysis for racing teams worldwide, providing real-time insights into over twenty parameters crucial for race performance, such as ignition timing, braking, and engine temperature.

    “This integration of blockchain technology into data collection is a revolution for motorsport,” said Oliver Plucknett, Race Lab team manager at McLaren.

    “Minima’s capability to validate data as it’s generated ensures reliable and real-time information, enhancing decision-making processes crucial for split-second race decisions.”

    Minima’s blockchain design secures data integrity while allowing storage on devices or cloud, independent of validators’ permissions.

    This ensures data verification across the network, critical for compliance with competition rules like those set by SRO Motorsports Group, which mandates performance capping to maintain fairness.

    The partnership with Influx marks a milestone in race data logging, combining blockchain innovation with McLaren’s precision engineering in GT4 racing.
