The wonder of childhood is never complete without the presence of any Mattel’s long-run and phenomenal classics series – Barbie, Hot Wheels, Monster High and many more.
In the recent vision to redefine its phenomenal creations through NFT pursuits, Mattel launched its own NFT marketplace known as the Mattel Creations, operated on the Flow blockchain.
The new NFF marketplace is set to provide avid fans with accessibility to buy their digital collectibles including the brand’s classics such as Barbie and Hot Wheels IP. The launch of the game-changing platform too, will be accompanied with the new release of Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series.
The latest NFT marketplace created by Mattel is also designed to be accessible to all even to the non-crypto natives in which they don’t necessarily need to pay in cryptocurrency and can easily check out their purchases simply with the use of a credit or debit card.
Previously, Hot Wheels NFTs have been a hit sell-out at $25 each with a voucher for a physical Hot Wheels car; yielding north of $5M worth of NFT sales on the chain across over 20,000 users (based on the data obtained from WAXMarketCap and CryptoSlam).
Shortly after the massive success achieved from the NFT project, Mattle then kick-started a new collaboration with the luxury fashion house, Balmain for the Barbie series, where each Barbie and Ken is dressed in Balmain’s official collections and sold as digital collectibles.
