Japan’s Largest Airline ANA Launches World’s First Aeronautical-Themed NFT Marketplace
All Nippon Airways (ANA), the largest airline in Japan, has partnered with its subsidiary ANA NEO to introduce the world’s first aeronautical-themed NFT marketplace, revolutionising the aviation industry.
In collaboration with the virtual travel platform ANA GranWhale, ANA NEO will offer a range of NFT products under the ANA NFT collection.
The initial release, starting from May 30, 2023, will feature digital picture works by renowned aviation photographer Luke Ozawa.
On June 7, 2023, the marketplace will launch NFTs of two digital 3D aeroplanes, including a specially painted Boeing 787 and the inaugural aircraft’s first suggested design.

ANA GranWhale, developed by ANA NEO, provides users with an immersive metaverse experience, offering virtual travel, shopping, events, and entertainment.
Through the platform, users can explore various destinations worldwide, including Kyoto, while engaging in NFT purchases and participating in unique experiences.
ANA NEO’s utilisation of Ethereum blockchain technology leverages the thriving NFT market, which is projected to grow from $3.6 billion in 2020 to $24.1 billion in 2025 at a CAGR of 46%, according to GlobalData research.
ANA, the 10th largest airline in Asia and the 14th largest globally, operates a fleet of over 200 aircraft, serving more than 100 destinations across Japan and worldwide.
