The 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just around the corner, and this year, it’s bringing a groundbreaking first.

Cool Cats Group, the Web3 company and global character brand known for its NFT collection, is set to become the first-ever NFT collection to grace this iconic holiday extravaganza, which will unfold in real-time on November 23 in New York City.

The Evolution of Cool Cats

Cool Cats Group has come a long way since its founding in 2021.Transitioning from the world of NFTs to mainstream recognition, this project has leveraged storytelling and collaborations to reach new heights. 

In an online contest hosted by Macy’s, Cool Cats earned the coveted spot in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, beating out other NFT brands in the final selection.

The finalists included VeeFriends, Boss Beauties, gmoney, and SupDucks.

A Dream Come True for Clon

Clon, the creator and founder of Cool Cats, has a deep personal connection to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

As a child, he watched the Parade on television with his grandfather, and now he’s about to experience it in a completely new light—seeing his own characters as larger-than-life balloons in one of the world’s most celebrated events.

For Clon, this moment carries immense significance: “This is a big moment for me as an artist and as the founder of Cool Cats,” he shared.

“Personally, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has always been an important event in my family, and it holds a lot of memories.

Being able to showcase my artwork alongside some of the world’s most recognizable characters is a dream come true”.

In addition to their historic appearance in the Parade, Cool Cats will also be launching a curated collection of limited-edition merchandise.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase these items at 11 Macy’s flagship stores and online at macys.com.

The collection will feature a plush version of the beloved Blue Cat character and a vinyl collectible.

Clon expressed his excitement about the Parade’s significance for the Cool Cats community: “Blue Cat and Chugs will be flying high, and I’m excited to see new fans engage with our characters as we look ahead to an exciting new year for our brand”.

Cool Cats’ Expanding Horizons
