Colosseum Unveils Winners of Solana Renaissance Hackathon
Colosseum, a leading force in fostering innovation within the Solana ecosystem, has proudly announced the victors of the Solana Renaissance Hackathon, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of crypto technology.
Renaissance, the 9th installment of the Solana Foundation’s hackathon series, drew participation from founders and developers hailing from over 95 countries, converging to craft groundbreaking projects across various domains including Infrastructure, Gaming, DePIN, DAOs, DeFi, and a wide spectrum of Consumer Applications.
With an impressive turnout of more than 8,300 participants worldwide, collaborating to submit a total of 1,071 projects to the discerning panel of judges, Renaissance emerges as the largest online Solana hackathon to date.
Symmetry, Phantom, IO.NET, Pyth, Orca, Solana Mobile, Squads, and Brave stood alongside the Solana Foundation as sponsors for the event, offering invaluable support to crypto entrepreneurs embarking on their journey.
“Solana Hackathons are the epicenter of startup formation in the ecosystem, and Renaissance was no exception,” remarked Dan Albert, Executive Director of the Solana Foundation.
“A new wave of highly talented developers and founders are now building promising products that will continue to take crypto into mainstream adoption.”

The Grand Champion accolade was bestowed upon Ore, an innovative digital currency facilitating novel proof-of-work mining on the Solana blockchain.
The esteemed title was accompanied by a grand prize of $50,000 USDC, along with coveted passes to attend Breakpoint 2024 in Singapore, scheduled for Sept. 19-21.
In the Consumer Apps Track, Banger.lol secured the first prize, claiming $30,000 in USDC for its pioneering marketplace designed for trading tweets and supporting creators.
Other noteworthy projects in this track included Wootz Browser, Chomp, Movement, and DePlan, each offering unique contributions to the burgeoning Solana ecosystem.
The hackathon also recognized outstanding endeavors across various tracks including Crypto Infrastructure, Gaming, DeFi & Payments, and DePIN.
High TPS Solana Client, Meshmap+City Champ, Urani, Blockmesh, and DeTask emerged as winners in their respective categories, showcasing remarkable innovation and ingenuity.
Moreover, special accolades were conferred upon exceptional projects led by university students, open-source initiatives benefiting developers across the Solana ecosystem, and projects demonstrating a commitment to climate change and sustainability.
The Solana Renaissance Hackathon not only serves as a testament to the vibrant spirit of collaboration and innovation within the crypto community but also paves the way for a new era of transformative solutions poised to reshape the future of decentralized finance and technology.
