    DWF Labs Launches $20 Million Cloudbreak Fund to Support Web3 Projects in Chinese-Speaking Regions

    DWF Labs, a Web3 investor and market maker, has launched a $20 million fund called Cloudbreak to support Web3 projects and founders in regions where Chinese is spoken. This includes Hong Kong, China, Macao, Taiwan, and Singapore.

    The Cloudbreak Fund will focus on initiatives in various sectors, including gaming finance (GameFi), social finance (SocialFi), meme coins, derivatives, and layer-1/layer-2 blockchain technology.

    “Projects in Chinese-speaking regions have experienced tremendous growth in recent months and require dedicated support,” said Andrei Grachev, Managing Partner at DWF Labs. “Cloudbreak was founded to unlock the potential of emerging projects in these regions.”

    DWF Labs has a history of investing in the Web3 space. One recent investment is $5 million in the Milady Meme Coin (LADYS).

    This investment highlights DWF Labs’ interest in backing projects with strong communities and growth potential.

    Web3 gaming is a sector experiencing significant growth, with venture capital investment increasing rapidly.

    In 2023,blockchain gaming funding reached an estimated $1.7 billion, with a substantial portion flowing to projects on Immutable,a company developing 270 blockchain games.

    This year, several large investments were made in the Web3 gaming space. King River Capital, Immutable, and Polygon Labs launched a $100 million gaming fund, while Andreessen Horowitz invested $30 million in gaming startups.
