A Flourishing Malaysian Industry
Web3 and blockchain technology have rapidly gained traction in Malaysia, transitioning from a speculative concept to a field with real-world applications.
The Malaysian government has actively supported this growth with favorable policies and initiatives.
“The Malaysian government has backed blockchain technology in the country with supportive government policies, regulations, and initiatives to foster blockchain development,” said Noelle Lee of Lydian Labs.
MYBW aims to facilitate conversations between government bodies, corporations, and industry stakeholders.
The event will feature keynote speakers, demos, and panel discussions, fostering collaboration and creating a value chain that benefits the entire Malaysian blockchain ecosystem.
“Malaysia boasts a rapidly growing tech ecosystem with a strong emphasis on digital transformation. In line with our national strategic initiative, Malaysia Digital, MDEC aims to provide the best resources towards nurturing this ecosystem for tech entrepreneurs and support for the numerous tech startups, incubators, and accelerators breaking ground on blockchain innovation.
MDEC is committed to fostering effective collaborations to establish Malaysia as ASEAN’s digital hub,” said Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC.
A Meeting of Minds
MYBW will feature prominent speakers discussing critical topics like blockchain regulations, decentralized finance, NFT applications in gaming, and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on Malaysia.
Local industry leaders like Matthew Tan, CEO of Etherscan, and Bobby Ong, co-founder of CoinGecko, will share their expertise alongside international figures like Chess, CEO of GM Network, and Dr. Kang Li, CSO of CertiK.
The week will culminate with the main event at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), preceded by side events like the Growth Charger Hackathon and the Offchain Global Conference.
