    Cristiano Ronaldo Launches Fourth NFT Collection with Binance

    Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the launch of his fourth non-fungible token (NFT) collection in partnership with Binance.

    The new collection, set to debut on May 29 on the Binance NFT Marketplace, will celebrate Ronaldo’s illustrious career with highlights from his journey in football.

    “My football journey has seen me travel around the world, and I’ve been honored to play for some of the most prestigious clubs out there. Now it’s your turn to join me on that journey too,” Ronaldo shared.

    The number of NFTs in the new collection will be revealed upon launch, and while the price for each “Normal NFT” will be consistent, the final “Super Rare NFT” will be priced differently.

    Previous NFT events featuring Ronaldo have included exclusive perks, such as a premium experience where holders could play football with the legend himself, as part of the Binance promotion. This announcement comes amidst legal challenges for Ronaldo.

    Previously, XGA reported that Ronaldo was sued in a class action lawsuit in a U.S. district court in Florida over his previous participation in NFT sales with Binance.

    Plaintiffs claimed Ronaldo “promoted, assisted in, and/or actively participated in the offer and sale of unregistered securities in coordination with Binance,” alleging he should have known about Binance’s activities.

    The lawsuit against Ronaldo followed Binance’s legal troubles, culminating in founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao being found guilty of enabling fraud.

    In April 2024, Zhao was sentenced to four months in detention for his involvement in an alleged money laundering scheme.
