Masverse Unveils Maschain Platform and RM2 Million Grant
Masverse, a Malaysian start-up providing comprehensive blockchain and Web3 infrastructure solutions, officially launched its Maschain platform today.
The launch event took place at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), which holds sentimental value as the birthplace of Masverse, as noted by Suresh Naidu Sadasivan, Masverse’s Director of Communication and Innovation.
The event was officiated by Mr. Danesh Jothiprahasam, Head of Domestic Digital Investment at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and Mr. Chew Kian Kok, CEO of Masverse.
Maschain, positioned as a layer one blockchain, serves as the foundational blockchain for building secondary networks and applications, akin to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
“In a world where digital transformation is a necessity, Maschain emerges as a beacon of innovation, security, and efficiency,” articulated Sadasivan.
He accentuated Maschain’s ability to address the nuanced demands of enterprises and government operations across various sectors, ensuring transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
Masverse also announced a yearly RM2 million grant, inviting Malaysian startups and foreign entities with Malaysian involvement to innovate on Maschain.
Mr. Koay Seong Jiann, Chief Financial Officer of Masverse, explained, “We prefer Malaysian startups but welcome foreigners with at least a 50% Malaysian team and innovative ideas to submit proposals.”
During the event, Masverse held a signing ceremony for Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) with several Malaysian companies, including Gambit Group, Intelligence Traceability, Vero AI, Jabo Plantation, Jomstay Digital Technology, RESONAX, and Asia Digital Bank Ltd. Mr. Koay Seong Jiann highlighted.
“To date, we have onboarded up to 200 enterprises and institutions, aiming to reach 1,000 clients by year-end,” said Mr. Koay Seong Jiann.
