Former President Trump Unveils Exclusive Bitcoin Ordinals for NFT Collection
Former President Donald Trump has delved deeper into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with the launch of his third collection, “The MugShot Edition,” featuring a viral mugshot from his 2023 arrest in Georgia.
In a departure from his previous NFT releases in December 2022 and April 2023, the latest collection introduced physical editions of the cards.
Buyers of 47 cards were promised a unique physical card incorporating a fragment of the suit worn by Trump in the widely circulated mugshot.

However, unlike its predecessors, “The MugShot Edition” failed to sell out, prompting a creative move from Trump Digital Trading Cards to entice buyers.
The company announced the introduction of the first-ever Bitcoin Ordinals for the collection. Purchasers of 100 Trump Digital Trading Cards from “The MugShot Edition” would receive a “one-of-one Trump Digital Trading Card”, to be minted as a Bitcoin Ordinal.
Bitcoin Ordinals operate similarly to NFTs, utilizing the Bitcoin blockchain to store text, images, and other data. Each Ordinal uses satoshis, the smallest denomination on the Bitcoin blockchain, with a unique serial number based on its original mining order.

Trump Digital Trading Cards revealed that only 200 of the 1/1 “Trump Digital Trading Cards: MugShot Edition” Bitcoin Ordinals would be available, with just 99 remaining for purchase.
This suggests that 101 individuals likely acquired 100 of the MugShot Edition NFTs previously, making them eligible for an Ordinal.
The company plans to provide instructions on how to claim the Bitcoin Ordinal at a later date, utilizing the services of Magic Eden for the process.
