Prada Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of Timecapsule NFT Collection with Exclusive Tokyo Event for NFT Holders

The Prada Timecapsule #41 was finally launched on May 4, marking a one-year anniversary of the NFT collection. This second part of the three-part series featured a yellow and grey tank-top design inspired by basketball jerseys and made up with up-cycled fabrics from the Prada archive.

Prada Timecapsule is a monthly online event that offers limited-edition items for a 24-hour period of every month. Initially launched on December 5, 2019, the Timecapsule project started embarking on a fresh chapter by broadening its creative footprint within the Web3 sphere through its NFT collection.
Each month, on the first Thursday, a limited-edition physical item accompanied by a complimentary NFT will be unveiled and made available for purchase for a 24-hour window, giving customers a chance to own a Prada NFT.

Since its launch in May 2022, the Timecapsule NFT Collection has generated a trading volume of 40 ETH on the OpenSea marketplace, maintaining a solid floor price of 0.44 ETH.
Every Timecapsule piece in the limited-edition collection boasts a distinctive serial number and comes with tailor-made packaging for delivery. Each NFT incorporates both the drop serial number and the corresponding physical item’s serial number, establishing a clear connection between the tangible and digital products.
Holders of the Prada Crypted Community have had the opportunity to attend exclusive experiences such as trips to fashion week shows in Milan and invitations to cultural events like Prada Extends and Prada Mode.
Prada Timecapsule NFT holders are also invited to attend the ninth iteration of Prada Mode in Tokyo on May 12 and 13, 2023. The event will take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum in Japan where guests can explore various forms of arts, experience the historic architecture, and view site-specific artworks curated by Kazuyo Sejima.
