Get ready, Bollywood fans. It’s time to buckle up! One of India’s leading media and
entertainment players, Shemaroo, has just carved out its own virtual space in the Metaverse, known as Shemaroo Theatre.
On 7th October 2022, Shemaroo successfully launched Shemaroo Theatre in one of the most popular Metaverse platforms, Decentraland Metaverse, in partnership with Filmrare.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR EVERYONE?
The leading Indian content powerhouse has been globally known for many of its iconic films across eras including Golmaal – Fun Unlimited, Amar Akhbar Anthony, Disco Dance and Jab We Met. Starting 7th October 2022 every Friday, Metaverse users will be treated to free
entertainment consisting of a large repository of powerful Bollywood films, at Shemaroo Theatre, during its early stage of launching.
There, they will be entertained by the all-new, and exhilarating screening experience in the presence of a plush lobby, box office counter, and visual trailer zones, as well as treating themselves to the cinema’s classic refreshments including popcorn and drinks. This simply being said, it’s an IRL cinema that’s reimagined in the Metaverse.

The first of its kind theatre is located at 2,55 within the SciArtLab district on Decentraland Metaverse.
