One of the world’s most expensive and high-end luggage brands, Rimowa has partnered with Nike’s RTFKT to venture into the digital realm of the metaverse.
The unprecedented collaboration between the world-acclaimed fashion brands will witness the emergence of a brand-new collection featuring unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a limited-edition suitcase and a robot collectible that will definitely excite Web3 devotees, especially the fashion followers who love staying technologically updated.
RIMOWA x RTFKT
Named RIMOWA X RTFKT, the release includes 888 NFTs and exclusive cabin suitcase pieces alongside 2222 space robot worker digital collectables.
In celebration of RIMOWA X RTFKT, a forward-thinking challenge was strategically created, where interactive invitations have been sent out to the crypto community worldwide. The joint quest involves the community uncovering a hacked RIMOWA X RTFKT Space Station that is necessary to mint their limited edition NFTs.
Following the challenge, an exclusive digital event will be held where the NFT holders can redeem a physical version of the luggage. During the event day, the guests will also be granted the opportunity to mint exclusive assets created by RIMOWA and RTFKT, including four different Avatar Wearables.
RIMOWA X RTFKT was launched on October 27th, 2022. [11:30 am ET / 5:30 pm CET / 12:30 am JST (+1)] with the Cabin Luggage costing at least 2 ETH and the WorkerBot costing at least 0.07ETH.
Entry into the @RTFKT x @RIMOWA mint was determined by a live draw system that is open to all. There was 2 separate draws – one for the WorkerBot and one for the Cabin Luggage and when a wallet wins the draw for either one of the NFT, the wallet have only 5 minutes to mint the NFT before the opportunity was given to someone else. To qualify for the draw, the wallet would need to carry the minimum amount of eth as described.
As the NFTs are released in waves, 30 minutes after the public mint started there are still 1991 collectibles available to mint, is this to give everyone a chance, or is there a lack of interest to mint?
All eyes on this project, as shall we see a rise again of the NFT craze? Let’s wait to find out…
