Coachella and OpenSea Partner to Launch Exclusive NFT Collections for Festival Access
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the world’s largest music and arts festivals, has announced a collaboration with non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace OpenSea.
The partnership aims to introduce digital keepsakes with real-world utility for attendees at the 2024 edition of the festival.
On March 5, Coachella unveiled plans for three unique NFT collections that will serve as all-access passes to exclusive on-site experiences and merchandise during the festival.
With upwards of 645,000 attendees, Coachella is renowned for its diverse music acts, celebrity presence, and cultural significance in the music industry.

Sam Schoonover, the innovation lead for Coachella, hailed the collaboration as a “new chapter” in leveraging NFTs to enhance customer experiences, both physically and digitally.
“We’re moving toward a future where Coachella isn’t just an event you attend, but an experience you can own and shape based on the digital tokens in your possession,” Schoonover remarked.
The NFT collections, hosted on the Avalanche blockchain network, will be released over three subsequent drops, each offering collectible Coachella intellectual property artwork paired with exclusive perks.
The first drop, occurring on March 5, features 1,000 available NFTs granting holders VIP Passes, access to the Oasis Lounge, and an exclusive “Oasis Lounge Keepsake”. Subsequent drops are scheduled for March 25 and mid-April.
