On February 24, the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia unveiled the groundbreaking launch of the world’s inaugural national initiative within the Metaverse, backed by the innovative Generative Media Intelligence (GMI) artificial intelligence system.

Teaming up with droppGroup, the initiative introduces the pioneering ‘Phygital’ Metaverse utilizing Hyperledger Fabric 2.5 blockchain technology, epitomized by the Saudi Heritage Metaverse platform.

The platform promises a captivating blend of cultural showcases, performances, and digital advancements fueled by GMI technology.

It provides a dynamic digital landscape allowing users to immerse themselves in various real-life activities, coinciding with the celebration of the Kingdom’s Founding Day.

Notable features include the History Walk, dedicated sectors for music, art, history, culinary arts, crafts, and mini-video games.

The Performance Center will stream live events, including the Founding Day Commencement Symphony Concert, on the ministry’s Metaverse platform.

Ensuring inclusivity, the Ministry of Culture’s Metaverse platform offers a fully immersive, web-based experience compatible with Mobile XR, ensuring accessibility across diverse devices including mobile phones, VR headsets, desktops, and other digital platforms.
