The trademark application, submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office on May 1, 2023, indicates that the BBC intends to offer Doctor Who NFTs using blockchain technology, as well as virtual reality software and wearable digital devices.
Doctor Who, a British science fiction television series that has been entertaining audiences since 1963, follows the adventures of a time-travelling alien known as the Doctor, who explores the universe in a time machine called the TARDIS.
